'The Angels Horn HP-H003 is a nice entry level turntable that hits the mark both in visual and audio appeal! The unit was easy and straight forward to set-up and I am pleased with my purchase with over 2 weeks use. The walnut finish and black hardware look sharp. The unit pairs well with Edifier R1280Ts Powered Bookshelf speakers on the line out channel and the built in pre-amp on this circuit.
The bluetooth connected quickly and easily to many devices and bluetooth transmission range covers my whole interior on both floors. I have paired the turn table via Bluetooth to a Bose speaker, Beats head phones, Samsung sound bar and my Samsung Galaxy Buds+. The buds+ are limited in range, but that is not a turntable issue just an FYI. The only device I could not pair with was the newer Sony WH10000XM4 headphones. However, it connects to Sony's model WH10000XM3 headphones. I know now that the XM4 have a different bluetooth codecs set vs. the the XM3's. Not a fault of the HP-H003 but an FYI.
The sound quality is pretty good via bluetooth, but I prefer the wired speakers. It is nice turning on the noise canceling of the headphones and just getting away from the world around me.
Other than the bluetooth lessons learned. I have only had one issue thus far which is why a 4 star vs. 5 as an initial assessment. There is a fair amount of speed inconsistency/variation. After a few LPs back to back the audio sounds a tad slower. Using the ''RPM Speed and Wow'' app, I pick up noticible variation in speed in back to back runs. Not overly sure on accuracy and repeatability of the app. When occurring records sounded noticably slower on this turntable vs. another turntable in the house. I adjusted the pots of the drive motor to re-center the speed and it is better now. However the app still shows +/- 1% of the 33 1/3 target speed. Something I'll have to keep an eye and an ear on. The unit has a lifetime warranty option when you register with the company. They were very helpful and responsive with questions on my Bluetooth challenge. I suspect they will be equally as helpful if the drive motor slows again.'
