Couldn't have asked for a better turntable to add to my surround sound system.

I must say I was a tad bit apprehensive when first starting my order on an angel's horn. People talked about the setup, about it not working....etc. Let me just say, this is my first NEW turntable in years. I did NOT need any expert setup...and was very straightforward. There are videos on youtube to help if you get jammed up. The only upgrade i've made so far to the initial setup is a better turntable pad....I went with an acrylic also sold on amazon. You can get anything from cork mix, acrylic, felt, etc. I added acrylic to match the look I was going for in my front room. They range anywhere from $15-20.I also bought this to start my young son into playing vinyl albums. The sounds...the tone........the way vinyl sounds compared to digital........he's already gaining an appreciation just in our first full week of owning this turntable. The finish is beautiful........Only upgrade i wish in future editions is auto return of arm. At end of the album it just stays until YOU take it back to rest.Also....ensure your system you are hooking up to has it's own "phono" jack inputs for the turntable to plug into. My denon does not as my surround system is one lower than that of the system that does. I had to buy an external pre-amp which was under $20. Was a cinch to setup with preamp.

1st day. Just got it hooked up. Install was relatively easy and straight forward.Sound quality on my old receiver was as expected.For the money at this point I feel like it was totally worth it.

Fantastic Sound

Sound is way better then I expected,audio technica cartridge is great and you always have the option to upgrade it. It's an MDF plinth with beautiful mahogany finish. Super easy to set up and once again I can't belive how awesome the sound is but then again I'm pushing the signal through a KT88 tube amp

More Than Expected At This Price!

I love the look and performance of this new turntable. The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because they placed the on/off switch almost hidden at the rear of the unit, which means you have to reach back there to turn it on and off! I don't mind the manual lifting so much, or that there's no strobe like I'm used to with past turntables, but think the arm-lift lever is a bit too close to the arm-release latch when the latch is fully raised to the right. Not too much of an issue once you get used to it. Other than that, the cartridge is great and all-in-all it's a beautiful addition to my system!

Easy to Setup and Sounds amazing

Took about 20 minutes to setup and works great. The overall look of the turntable itself is very clean and smooth. It will be the last turntable I will ever need :)

I was reading an article online about high end audiophile turntables and this Angels Horn turntable was mentioned as the one the author will keep and pass to a family member. I know it's not a high end, but the author's mention picked my curiosity. I decided to give it a try and I can surely say that it sounds really good and looks awesome! My family described it as beautiful and I agreed. It exceeded my expectations by 200%. Amazing turntable for the price. Setting it was not difficult as long as you have experience with turn tables. If you have no experience, Angels Horn have video in YouTube.You should give it a try. I did and have no regrets!!!!

Hands Down The Best Turntable for The Money

For those seeking a “vintage” turntable, this manual turntable is the truest to its style. Checks all the marks for a good entry-level turntable (wooden and metal construction, iron platter, AT3600L cartridge). While the classic manual construction means you have to assemble and there’s no smart feature (USB, Bluetooth), the sound quality triumphs, competes those 2x-3x the price, and it’s rather easy to repair even after decades.

I love mine and bought one for my brother-in-law when the one he bought over 50 years ago in Viet Nam died.Easy set-up for and good instructions, tho I still not sure about the plastic key. First arm I've had with a hanging counter-weighr, but it works better than the Technics at the radio stationSound quality is excellent with very low noise using built-in preamp or stand-alone MM preamp.Cartridge is preinstalled and setting tracking force is very accurate (checked with guage ). Basic cartridge, but it is working well until I get to mount one with an elliptical stylus.Beautiful finish and quality.I recommend this to anyone wanting a manual turntable.

A total surprise!!!! In a good way!!!

I normally don't do reviews, but I had to in this case. I just recently got into vinyl and became very interested in turntables and the old culture behind vinyl. I decided to try to try this turntable as my first turntable. And I must say it is fantastic. I paired it with some well reviewed bookcase speakers and the sound that came out of this turntable blew me away. Full balanced and rich. I'm sure there are better turntables out there but for a first time turntable owner this turntable is legit. Five stars all the way.

Great Turntable at a Great Price.

I was looking for a great replacement for my Sansui which is years old. I came across this online and the price was right. Gladly I can report that you will be absolutely satisfied with the build quality the aesthetics and the performance of this turntable. I do wish they had better documentation on setting up the counterweight and anti-skate. I do wish they had better documentation on setting up the counterweight and anti-skate Aside from that I would recommend this to anyone!

Great Turntable at a Great Price.

What an upgrade!!!

I wanted to upgrade my old Sony turn table for one that sounded good and looked better than the typical black plastic box. I had been watching the Angle's Horn players for a while as they would put the different finishes on sale at different times. The mahogany turn table finally went on sale and I pulled the trigger. The player was packaged exceptionally well (three boxes in all) and was very simple to assemble. Take your time and use a steady hand. In about 10 minutes I was plugged into my receiver and listening! For what it is worth, the turn table is running through a Marantz SR5006 receiver which is pushing two Klipsch towers, two Klipsch book shelves, and two Polk 10" subwoofers. The sound quality and overall performance and appearance was a massive upgrade from my previous player! Thank you for making a quality product that sounds and feels like it should be much more expensive!

Great Sounding and Easy to Use/Set-up

I adopted record collecting as a hobby a few years ago and can say that I know what a good record player should be. I formerly had a player that had built in speakers, but it wasn’t cutting it for sound quality. I decided that the Angels Horn turntable was right for me, so I chose to invest in one and I am so grateful I did. The setup was easy using the instructions and the function is so simple, yet sounds so good! I am so happy with my turntable and I can’t wait to invest in more records to play on it!

Very good sound for a great price

I started out with a cheaper turntable than this and I constantly had problems with sound quality. The counterweight was automated and it just didn't work. So my one requirement was an adjustable counterweight, so I bought this. That part works great, but I was also absolutely floored with the sound quality. For a fairly inexpensive turntable, this sounds great.

Great Price For Mid-Range Turntable

I was using a $50 victrola before this. It had no adjustable counterweight, nor an Anti-skating feature. I noticed it would occasionally skip when playing most records. I thought this was just normal, seeing as I was playing cheap retro vinyls. Until I got a precious, imported album and it was basically unlistenable, even though brand new. I upped my cleaning game and was having less issues with most of my records, but still the same issues with this precious import. I figured it was just because it got warped during its trip from Germany to America. Until I realized it was the only 180 gram vinyl in my collection. Did some more research and found that all that inconsistent skipping was the result of my cheap player, not my records. I looked for a player that had both an adjustable counterweight, as well as an anti-skate feature. This was the cheapest option I could find. Sure enough, that unplayable 180 gram is playing with 0 skips, as well as some other records that were skipping. On top of that, this player has shown much higher-fidelity in low-end audio as well. I thought all records were just inherently tinny. I'm still learning, but I feel that the Angels Horn HP-H002 is a very affordable option for someone who wants skip-free, non-damaging play-throughs of their record collections.

Best Christmas Present Ever!!❤️

AH6 with bookshelf speakers- I love it!! I love the sound- I am able to play vinyls that have scratches just fine. It was easy to set up- I was a little worried about placing the counter weight- but I figured it out. The instructions were very helpful. I can hear it just fine 2 rooms away. I highly recommend it. ❤️❤️

The sound quality is great for a speaker of this size. It gives me a crisp clear sound with adequate bass. I actually purchased two sets, the wood grain look and also the black wood grain. The second set was purchased because I kept getting a split second interruption with the signal while streaming music. That was quite annoying, just to discover that the second set does the exact same thing no matter what device I've paired the speakers with. I've tried cell phones, smart TV and tablet. I wonder if it is actually the speakers or some type signal interruption in my residence but it doesn't happen with ANY of my other Bluetooth devices. I'm just saying...

I absolutely adore my record player!

I absolutely adore my record player! The bookshelf speakers have an amazing sound quality. It’s also aesthetically beautiful, very nice quality and looks great in my apartment. Definitely worth the price, hands down. I spent some time researching a great record player that doesn’t break the bank and the H00501 lives up to all of my expectations and more. Returning to Vinyl

As a kid from the 70’s who still has close to 100 albums but nothing to play them on, this Angels Horn select packs a punch. I bought this with the intention of wanting to listen to my older albums plus buying some releases of newer artists. It meets all expectations plus gives me the option of syncing to other speakers or routing to an amp!! Well done!

Ideal option to get folks into vinyl!

Originally a suggestion I made to a friend who wanted to start playing records (they had a collection but never bothered getting anything better than those crappy plastic suitcase record players), I just googled an all-in-one option under 250$ that could just plug n play.

Found this. Got here fast, and I am not disappointed, surprised in fact to a point that I bought one for myself, what with my apartment running out of space and me deciding to store my proper, heavy setup for the time being. Since it got here three weeks ago, it's been spinning licorice pizza for hours each day, no hitch.

The finish is good enough (one tiny chip in the wood, no big deal)
Setup is easy enough for my friend, a klutz of the highest measure, to figure it out with the arm counterweight.
The speakers are loud enough to do a good job to play for an average sized living room, but the option to hook up more speakers is all the better.
I haven't tested the Bluetooth function, so I won't speak of it.

The mat is felt, so if you want to exchange it with something better, it's simple enough.

The needle's an Audio Technica so you can honestly keep it as is without having to upgrade it, especially for introducing people to the hobby.

Worth the money, if you want to get started with something well-put together.
